Eli Drinkwitz and Missouri football just took the cringe factor up another notch

Just when you think Missouri Tigers head coach Eli Drinkwitz can't get any more cringe, he goes and raises the bar.
Whether it's his "we stand on business" comment or his awkward celebration after landing a big recruit, it seems like Drinkwitz is always in full cringe mode.
Or the time that Drinkwitz told the Tennessee basketball team that they weren't "tough" (Tennessee won that game by the way).
Anyway, Drinkwitz added to his cringe lore this past weekend when the Missouri football team wore shirts that said "bowl bound" after their sixth win of the season.
Yikes.
Missouri is coming off an 11-2 season. Before the season started, the Tigers were viewed as a very real College Football Playoff contender. Missouri is 6-1 with a favorable schedule over the last month of the season (at Alabama, vs Oklahoma, at South Carolina, at Mississippi State, vs Arkansas). Those will be tough games, but they're all winnable for Mizzou. A playoff run is still very much in play for the Tigers.
And Drinkwitz has them out there in bowl bound shirts?
On a scale of 1 to Kobe Bryant's famous "job's not finished quote", this falls somewhere around a minus two.
Preseason playoff contenders don't make bowl eligibility the goal or a reason to celebrate. It's a bizarre reaction to a win for Mizzou that should ultimately just be another step toward their goal of reaching the playoff and contending for a national championship.
Awesome gesture from Tennessee baseball coach Tony Vitello for the Alabama game may have been missed by fans
Very cool from Tony Vitello
