Welcome to the NFL in earnest, Cedric Tillman.

The former Tennessee Vols standout had a career day, and as a result, his team – the Cleveland Browns – did what they rarely do: knock off the Baltimore Ravens.

Tillman reeled in a 38-yard touchdown from Jameis Winston with under a minute to go – his second off the day – to give the Browns the win 29-24.

The touchdown grab was his second of the day.  Earlier, Tillman pulled down a 22-yard touchdown late in the third quarter to put the Browns on top 20-17.  The touchdown was the first of Tillman's career.  He finished his day with 7 catches for a team-high 99 receiving yards and two scores.

The opportunity to step up arose last week after the reeling Browns traded away #1 wide receiver Amari Cooper to the Buffalo Bills.  Tillman answered that bell last week in a 21-14 loss to the Bengals, leading the team in receiving yards with 81 on 8 catches.

Now, after a second straight big week, it looks like Tillman could be starting to emerge as a top pass catching option the Browns envisioned him to be when they drafted him in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft.  He also appears to have developed a nice rapport with QB Jameis Winston, who looks like the unquestioned starter for the rest of the season.

Beating the Ravens and the Steelers is particularly special for Cleveland fans.  Those games mean more.  Now, Tillman has etched his name into one of those rivalries with a performance that Browns fans will be talking about for a long time.
