The Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers continued their practice weeks on Thursday ahead of their upcoming NFL Week 7 Super Bowl LVIII rematch.

The Chiefs had a new injury development at the wide receiver position, marking the second consecutive game week with a midweek wide receiver injury. Last time it was Mecole Hardman against the Saints, this time it's a new player.

Take a look at the second injury reports for each team down below. . .

Observations:

  • A second consecutive non-participant practice for Chiefs DE Mike Danna suggests his chances of playing are thin. Look for Felix Anudike-Uzomah to fill in for him again in Week 7.
  • It's never a good sign when a player is added to the injury report in the middle of the week. For JuJu Smith-Schuster to land on the injury report, that's back-breaking for an injury-thinned WR group in Kansas City.
  • If No. 9 is limited or a non-participant on Friday, look for one of Justyn Ross, Nikko Remigio, and Montrell Washington to get a call-up from the Chiefs' practice squad this week.

Observations:

  • No Jauan Jennings for the second consecutive practice while Deebo Samuel remains limited.
  • It looks like Anders Carlson will be the kicker for San Francisco this week.
  • More defensive line injuries for the 49ers means good news for the Chiefs' run game.
