The Pittsburgh Steelers escaped Sin City in better shape than most of those who flock to the desert, but their win over the Las Vegas Raiders was marred a bit.

That was because of what happened toward the end of the game when rookie center and standout Zach Frazier exited with an ankle injury.

Lucikly for him and the Steelers, it's not as bad as it looked:

Zach Frazier Week to Week with an Ankle Injury

Source: Steelers rookie starting center Zach Frazier suffered an ankle injury on Sunday against the Raiders and is considered week-to-week. There’s no structural damage.

Frazier has started all six games this season and has posted an impressive 82.2 PFF grade.

For the Steelers, it's a massive sigh of relief. As good as Frazier has been, he wasn't even supposed to be in the role, or at least not yet. Nate Herbig went down with a season-ending injury at the end of camp and the rookie was thrust into the role ever since.

But beyond losing their starting center, starting right guard James Daniels was also lost for the year with an Achilles injury, and starting RT and fellow rookie Troy Fautanu is out for the duration of the regular season.

So the Steelers could ill-afford to lose their healthiest, and arguably best offensive lineman for an extended period of time. Week to week is obviously a little longer than day to day, and Frazier's status for Sunday Night Football against the New York Jets is likely in jeopardy, but we'll learn more about him and the rest of the team during Week 7's Tomlin Tuesday
