Tennessee Vols head coach Josh Heupel saw one of UT's top 2026 recruiting targets make a big play on Thursday night in Knox Catholic's game against Brentwood Academy.
Heupel was in attendance for the game in Knoxville, which featured 2025 five-star Vols quarterback commit George MacIntyre (Brentwood Academy) as well as 2026 four-star wide receiver Tyreek King (Knox Catholic), a Tennessee recruiting target.
Early in the game, King caught a short pass and showed off his elite speed by turning what looked like a short gain into an 80-yard touchdown.
King also made a nice contested catch later in the game.
King, 5-foot-11/168 lbs from Knoxville, is rated in 247Sports' composite rankings as the No. 31 wide receiver in the nation and the No. 6 player in the state of Tennessee. He's also rated as the No. 183 overall player in the 2026 recruiting class.
The talented wide receiver told GoVols247 last month that he hopes to announce his commitment in December.
