Browns’ Kevin Stefanski showed exactly why players like him after Cleveland fell to 1-3 on the season

There is plenty of blame to go around for the Cleveland Browns when it comes to why they sit at 1-3 on the season. Cleveland did not get it done in more ways than one against the Las Vegas Raiders and sits tied at the bottom of the AFC North as a result.
Cleveland put together just 16 points on Sunday and six of those were thanks to the defense. The offense for the Browns is past the point of disappointing to start the season. Cleveland had a chance to win it late and got into the end zone, but Deshaun Watson was sacked looking to buy time and the Raiders were able to run the clock out.
Following the game, Kevin Stefanski shouldered most of the blame on the play call, and it is another example of why he is a player’s coach.
"I have to give them a better play,” Stefanski said of the final offensive play. “We've got to make a play there."
Cleveland went up against a defense that did not have Maxx Crosby today, also a defense that came into the game 30th in the NFL in yards allowed a game. Still, the Browns had just 241 yards of offense. Las Vegas was giving up just under 390 yards a game coming in.
“Obviously, (I am) very disappointed in that result. Not for lack of effort, but man we got to capitalize on some opportunities there, and we did not. So, we'll learn from it, and we really just have to focus on ourselves. Got to focus on us at this point and find ways to play winning football. We didn't do that today.”
Deshaun Watson finished the game 24-of-32 passing for 176 yards and a touchdown. There was one interception thrown off of a Amari Cooper drop. Just a poor, poor showing for the offense as a whole.
Cleveland will play the Washington Commanders next, who have looked good this season and have a couple of impressive wins in a row. Things are reeling in Cleveland, we’ll see if the Browns can stop it.
Browns’ disappointing loss to Raiders proves it is not just a Deshaun Watson problem this season
The Browns have a lot going on.
