The Minnesota Vikings squeaked out a 23-17 win over the New York Jets on Sunday morning in London, England. It was the first of three games to be played in London over consecutive weeks and they delivered with an engaging game that went down to the wire until Stephon Gilmore intercepted Aaron Rodgers with less than a minute left in the game.

The win for the Vikings was a big one, as they are now 5-0 going into the bye week and will be in first place in the NFC when they face the Detroit Lions in two weeks. Not only did they find a way to stay atop their own conference, they ended up making NFL history.

Minnesota Vikings make NFL history

With the win over the Jets on Sunday, the Vikings are now 4-0 in London games, becoming the first team to ever win their first four games outside of the United States. The Jacksonville Jaguars also have four wins, but they have played significantly more games in London.

If you want to include exhibition games from overseas, the Vikings are now 8-0 in games played outside of the United States. It's an impressive mark for the Vikings who have achieved the record over the last 40 years.

It's a cool mark for the Vikings to have achieved, but it also doesn't mean much. What matters is going undefeated in the playoffs.
