The New York Giants put together their best full performance in a 29-20 win in Week 5 over the Seattle Seahawks. Entering the matchup, Seattle was the top seed in a tough NFC West. The G-Men took care of business on both sides of the ball against them.
Giants HC Brian Daboll goes off during locker room celebration
Young wide receiver Wan'Dale Robinson was enjoying the win in the locker room on social media. He was livestreaming the team's excitement on Instagram.
It's become a common reaction by players after victories, but Daboll didn't have time for it.
Daboll was rather feisty in his post game presser, too. He didn't hold back regarding crucial plays after an emotional win to get his team to 2-3 on the season so far.
"We should've (profanity) scored when we're down here. That's the expectation. No more wishy, shoulda-coulda-woulda. Let's do it." — Daboll
Ultimately, that blunder did not cost New York the game in the end.
They blocked the potential game-tying field goal by Seattle in the final moments of the game and returned it for a touchdown.
New York looks ahead to a tough matchup in Week 6 with the Cincinnati Bengals. Cincy is 1-4, but they will be playing with plenty of fire after a tough last-minute loss to the Baltimore Ravens this weekend. They've got tons of talent, but they haven't come up with clutch plays to get wins to start this season.
If New York can get a win, they'll be back to .500 after six games of the season. This week's win got them back on track. Daboll is trying to make sure they stay there.
Giants’ major Week 5 concern can actually open the door for young player who needs to perform
There is a silver lining.
