ESPN's Adam Schefter referenced former Tennessee Vols wide receiver Jauan Jennings on Monday while poking fun at a recent snafu by San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk.
Aiyuk, who has been teammates with Jennings in San Francisco since 2020, was at the center of a mini-controversy recently when he showed up to 49ers practice wearing the wrong shorts.
Schefter joined The Pat McAfee Show on Monday and he dropped a reference to Aiyuk's shorts incident while discussing the 49ers.
"What was impressive about Jauan Jennings was not only the catches, but he wears the right colored shorts to practice," said Schefter.
Ouch, kind of a low blow there to Aiyuk.
On the other hand, Jennings is a model teammate who does everything right. He plays with great effort and intensity. And he never complains if the ball isn't coming his way. Jennings simply wants to win. And he wears the right colored shorts to practice.
