USC Trojans head coach Lincoln Riley is losing more than just football games

The 2024 college football season has not been what anyone expected out of the USC Trojans, one of football's most historic schools. They came into this season with a huge win over LSU, which set the stage for what was going to be a very successful season.
Or not.
The Trojans have since fallen off, and are playing so badly that they have changed their quarterback from Miller Moss to Jayden Maiava, the former UNLV quarterback. They cannot seem to close out games. They start well, and they somehow end up floundering. They had Penn State, one of the best teams in the country and a projected College Football Playoff team, down 20-3 at home.
But they choked that away. This has been a common theme under head coach Lincoln Riley, especially at USC. Since leaving the Oklahoma Sooners for USC, after OU made the switch to the SEC, the Trojans have not really had a great season yet. That has to change, and it has to change quickly because the players aren't happy.
Yes, you read that right. It would appear that there are some players not happy with Riley, and, as of right now, who can blame them? Late in games, his playcalling hasn't been great, and with this great roster, it feels like he isn't putting the team in sinning situations as often as he should be.
And let's face it, the blame starts at the top.

Recently, wide receiver Ja'Kobi Lane, one of the better wide receivers on the team, had a series of tweets that are a bit questionable, including one that asked if he was going to miss Lincoln Riley, I'm guessing the fan is assuming Riley will be fired or Lane will transfer, and Lane responded in a way that is very obvious he isn't happy.
Lane has since deleted most, if not all of the tweets.
This can't happen. Not only is Riley losing close games, he's losing the locker room.
Former Trojan wants Lane Kiffin back at USC as the head coach
Former Trojans wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson knows who he wants hired to replace Clay Helton as the head coach at USC. Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin. That's right. Johnson, who played for the Trojans from 1994-1995, said this week on ESPN that if Kiffin's Rebels manage to upset Alabama this weekend, then Kiffin should […]
