The Philadelphia Eagles (6-2) had a bit of an injury scare on Wednesday with several key players limited due to injuries, however, Tuesday's injury report revealed that everyone is trending in the right direction ahead of Week 10's matchup against the Dallas Cowboys (3-5).

Everyone practiced in some capacity on Thursday.

A huge sigh of relief was that No. 2 wide receiver DeVonta Smith (hamstring) was a limited participant after completely missing Wednesday and No. 1 wide receiver AJ Brown (knee) returned to full practice after being limited to start the week.

Outside linebacker Nolan Smith (groin) and linebacker Ben VanSumeren (concussion) also returned as limited participants.

Additionally, starting tight end Dallas Goedert (hamstring) had his second full day of practice for the first time in three weeks.

Unfortunately, tackle Fred Johnson (knee) was limited for the second straight day.

Eagles Week 10 Injury Report Observations

  • For the third straight year, Dallas Goedert is making his injury return against the Cowboys.
  • Quarterback Jalen Hurts and running back Saquon Barkley were limited on Wednesday for a veteran rest day.
  • The Eagles are said to have dodged a serious injury with wide receiver A.J. Brown after he excited last week's win early.
  • Cornerback Darius Slay missed last week's matchup with a groin injury, so it's good to see him back to work as a full participant.
  • Wide receiver DeVonta Smith's hamstring is new. He missed one game this season due to a concussion.
  • Outside linebacker Josh Sweat leads the defense with 5 sacks, so hopefully, his injury is nothing too concerning.
  • Inside linebacker Ben VanSumeren suffered a concussion in Week 9 but it's possible he could be available come Sunday if he passes concussion protocol.
  • The Eagles signed rookie linebacker Dallas Gant to the practice squad earlier this week for emergency depth.
  • The team also released fourth-string quarterback Will Grier and signed edge rusher Tarron Jackson to the practice squad in his place.
  • The biggest concern from the injury report right now is that left tackle Jordan Mailata is on Injured Reserve so the Eagles have been starting Fred Johnson. Let's hope his injury is nothing too concerning.
