The Minnesota Vikings have released their first injury report of the week ahead of their Week 12 game against the Chicago Bears and it raises some cause for concern.
- TE Josh Oliver (wrist/ankle): Did not practice
- DE Jonathan Bullard (toe): Limited
- QB Sam Darnold (foot): Limited
- RB Aaron Jones (ribs): Full
- OLB Gabe Murphy (knee): Full
- TE Nick Muse (hand): Full
Darnold is no stranger to the injury report. He's been on it multiple times this season with a knee injury he suffered earlier in the season and was on it last week for a hand injury during the game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
It's a little bit concerning that Darnold has another injury that we have to deal with, but it's worth noting that he's had a slight injury bug.
Oliver not practicing isn't a great sign for him but, like Darnold, it's about how he responds the rest of the week.
The Bears are in a different place entirely. They have quite a few offensive players with injuries, including multiple starters.
- OT Kiran Amegadjie (calf): Did not practice
- OG Ryan Bates (concussion): Did not practice
- DB Elijah Hicks (ankle): Did not practice
- RB D'Andre Swift (groin): Did not practice
- OL Teven Jenkins (ankle): Limited
Having three regular contributors on the offensive line isn't great, but Amegadjie likely wouldn't play with both Braxton Jones and Darnell Wright healthy. The big one here is Swift, who has had some great games against the Vikings recently. Everyone remembers his impressive performance against the Vikings in week two last season when he was with the Philadelphia Eagles.
The next few days will be crucial to what the Vikings' gameday roster looks like.
