A drama-filled offseason that has carried into the regular in terms of WR trade rumors, there has been an obvious name ever since Pittsburgh struck out on New York Jets WR Davante Adams.
That would be his teammate, Mike Williams.
Except, following an injury to another one of Aaron Rodgers' buddies, Allen Lazard, Williams may be stuck in Jets green:
Jets Unable to Move Off Williams?
The Jets are now in an interesting spot with wideout Mike Williams because of Thursday night's win and the injury to Allen Lazard, who was just put on injured reserve (chest). Will they stick with Williams as the third receiver or turn to someone else, such as Jason Brownlee? The people I've talked to believe there's a chance he stays, which didn't seem likely a few weeks back. Pittsburgh looms large here. The Steelers want receiver help. Whether they get it from New York or elsewhere could help determine Williams' fate.

League sources relayed similar information midweek last week to A to Z Sports, saying that Williams was the most likely acquisition for Pittsburgh given their ties to him from the offseason and the Jets crowded WR room.
But with Lazard now out for at least four weeks if not longer, the latter has suddenly changed. So whether it's Wiliams, someone else, or no one at all, the guessing games will finally come to an end on Tuesday evening, in what is sure to be the most interesting news of the day.
