The Las Vegas Raiders just love to deliver hard-hitting, huge news late at night. That's what they did when they fired Josh McDaniels, that's what they did when they made Antonio Pierce interim head coach, and that's what they have now done with the firing of offensive coordinator Luke Getsy.

It was bound to happen eventually. Is it earlier than we all expected? Sure. But, the former Green Bay Packers coach and Chicago Bears play caller was just not getting it done, and owner Mark Davis won't stand for that.

The Raiders really hired Getsy to help with Davante Adams. They wanted a system to put Adams in that he knew and was comfortable with. Adams was traded away from the New York Jets because the offense was so bad, and the quarterback play was so poor.

Now, with one of the worst offenses in the league, the Raiders had to do what they did. With the fifth-least amount of points per game and the fourth-least amount of yards per game, it was only a matter of time.

Who will call plays from here on out? Well, I'm not sure. If I had to guess, I'd say it would be Joe Philbin, who has 19 years of offensive experience, or Scott Turner.

The Raiders will now be in the market for an OC this offseason. But, the newest question is will they be in the market for a head coach? The Raiders have a bye week this week and will play the Miami Dolphins next week.
