The Oregon Ducks are well represented in the Rocky Mountains, with quarterback Bo Nix playing incredible football. He looks to be finally answering the quarterback questions that have plagued Denver since Peyton Manning rode off into the Colorado sunset after winning Super Bowl 50 in 2016.

Along with Nix, Oregon has a rookie wide receiver and Nix-teammate from the Ducks that is emerging in their offensive gameplan in Troy Franklin. Nix and Franklin seem to be rekindling their chemistry from Eugene in recent weeks, with Franklin coming up with a few notable plays.

Franklin got his second touchdown of the season in Denver's convincing 38-6 win over the Atlanta Falcons. Very surprisingly, Denver is fully in the playoff chase in the AFC with a 6-5 record, but they face a difficult schedule to finish the season.

Franklin is still buried on the depth chart behind leading wide receiver Courtland Sutton and Devaughn Vele, but his role on the offense is increasing. At the wide receiver position, Franklin logged the third-most snaps behind the two aforementioned options.

Franklin is a tall, slender wide receiver with easy long speed, that Denver is currently using both out of the slot and lined up out wide. Both of his targets on Sunday were on screens behind the line of scrimmage, which he turned into 23 yards after the catch on just two opportunities.

Perhaps Franklin has a ceiling that hasn't been tapped yet. As he continues to earn more and more reps in the offense, the opportunity could be there for an extended route tree that allows he and Nix to connect down the field more frequently.

Ducks fans would be thrilled to watch the Nix to Franklin connection continue to grow in the Mile High City.
