Over the offseason, there's been some concern about 2025 Tennessee Vols quarterback commit George MacIntyre.
The Tennessee commit has seen his recruiting ranking drastically drop since committing to the Vols (though he didn't do anything to cause that ranking to drop). MacIntyre's senior season also got off to a slow start due to playing in a new offense (which doesn't exactly highlight his strengths….at least it didn't to start the season).
Those concerns, however, were seemingly erased on Friday night with one incredible throw from MacIntyre that didn't end up counting due to a penalty.
That's an SEC throw. MacIntyre had pressure in his face and he still threw a perfect deep pass that hit his receiver in stride. The penalty may have wiped the play off the board, but it doesn't change the fact that MacIntyre's throw was elite.
That wasn't the only on the money throw that MacIntyre made on Friday night, either.
It's easy to see why Josh Heupel and his staff are so high on the young quarterback.
MacIntyre, by the way, passed for 291 yards in Brentwood Academy's 16-6 win against Brentwood.
