San Francisco will return to Allegiant Stadium, the scene of last season's agonizing Super Bowl 58 defeat to the Kansas City Chiefs, to face the Las Vegas Raiders on Friday.
The 49ers will have to put the pain of that February loss behind them, as the final tune-up before their Monday Night Football opener against the New York Jets will serve as key preparations for their starters ahead of the regular season.

Kyle Shanahan has not confirmed how long the starters will play, but quarterback Brock Purdy will likely get more than the three series he played against the New Orleans Saints last Sunday.
After going two of six for 11 yards while helming an offense laden with backups, Purdy will look to get into a much better rhythm with the likes of Deebo Samuel and George Kittle on the field against the Raiders.
The 49ers can't heal the wounds of what happened at the same stadium earlier this year, but a strong preseason effort on Friday could set the tone for a fast start to their bid to get back to the Super Bowl.
