The San Francisco 49ers have announced their initial 53-man roster for the 2024 season. 

Tuesday at 4 p.m. (ET) was the deadline for teams to reduce their rosters from 90 to 53 players, and the allowed moves included releasing and waiving players, or moving them to IR/PUP/NFI-lists.

Now, teams have until 12 p.m. (ET) on Wednesday to make waiver claims for players.

They can then start building their 16-man practice squads, though, in the case of San Francisco, the 49ers are permitted a 17th spot for International Pathway Program player Isaac Alarcon.
