The Alabama Crimson Tide kicked things off in an emphatic way on Saturday, shutting out the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers en route to a 63-0 victory.

Starting off the Kalen DeBoer era in resounding fashion, the team answered plenty of questions that many had heading into the season, with a potential star emerging at the WR spot.

The Associated Press was seemingly pleased with the Tide, bumping them up in the post-Week 1 release:

The Tide jumped a spot as did many in and around the top five not named Oregon, who won, but not in responding fashion as they beat Idaho 24-14.

For the Tide, they turn to South Florida and HC Alex Golesh, who Alabama fans have had enough of between his time at Tennessee and after last year's new debacle in Tampa.

A lot of football left to be played, Alabama has a big date with the number one team in the land in a few weeks, and it will surely impact the rankings in a great way.
