Kansas City Chiefs offensive lineman Wanya Morris shouted out the Tennessee Vols and the Oklahoma Sooners during his intro on NBC's Sunday Night Football in Week 3.
Morris spent the first two season of his collegiate career at Tennessee before transferring to Oklahoma, where he spent his final two seasons. He's one of the UT players that found a new home due to the Jeremy Pruitt recruiting scandal in late 2020.
Morris, who is in his second season in the NFL, received the start at left tackle for the Chiefs in Week 3 against the Atlanta Falcons after serving as a backup offensive lineman during the first two weeks of the season.
Tennessee beat Oklahoma this past weekend in Norman which led to some fans on social media speculating that Morris is just jumping on the Vols bandwagon.
But that's not the case at all. Morris continued to show love for the Vols even after transferring to Oklahoma after the 2020 season. At the Senior Bowl in early 2023, Morris wore an Oklahoma helmet with a Power T decal on the back.
Morris obviously has a tremendous appreciation for the two seasons he spent at Tennessee.
