ESPN/SEC Network analyst Cole Cubelic was wowed by a throw that Tennessee Vols quarterback Nico Iamaleava made during UT's 25-15 win against the Oklahoma Sooners even though the pass didn't count.

Iamaleava made an impressive throw across his body after escaping pressure for what appeared to be a critical third down.

The pass, however, was called back due to a holding penalty on Tennessee.

The holding penalty (which wasn't egregious) had no impact on Iamaleava's throw.

There's no doubt that Nico has Heisman Trophy level talent. Making that throw after escaping pressure, while playing in a huge road game where the pressure was mostly on Tennessee, is an elite play from the redshirt freshman.

The Vols have a star at quarterback. And that's one of the many reasons why they're a legit national championship contender in 2024.
