Nothing went right for the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 3.
They were trounced by the Buffalo Bills by a score of 47 to 10 and appeared to be outmatched from the opening kickoff to the final whistle.
To add insult to injury, this game was on national television for Monday Night Football. After getting embarrassed on the road, you can't wait to get on the plane and return home to regroup. But not even that went right for the Jaguars, as the team was stranded in Buffalo for multiple hours after the game due to mechanical issues with the team plane.
So, from their embarrassing performance on the field to their travel troubles on the way home, I think it's safe to say Week 3 is one the Jaguars will want to forget. But the team now sits at 0-3 and tied for last place in the AFC South.
And with their most recent loss being in blowout fashion, they don't look close to righting this ship. This leads many to wonder where the Jaguars go from here. The roster is too talented to bottom out, but they have to figure out the disconnect because their 2024 season is teetering towards falling completely off the rails. Head coach Doug Pederson didn't mince his words when speaking on the current state of his football team following their Week 3 loss.
"You hate to say it, but this is the reality of it. This is who we are right now, and we're not a very good football team. We got to get it fixed. Got to come up with some answers and got to do it in a hurry."
“It's not for lack of effort or trying and all that. I just think that sometimes you just to have get out of your own way, right? We just keep digging ourselves in a hole early and can't seem to dig our way out of it, especially as one-sided as this game was today.”
