The Tennessee Vols are among the top five schools for an elite 2026 recruit.
2026 four-star edge rusher Anthony Jones included the Vols in his top five this week, along with Michigan, Arizona State, Washington, and UCLA.
Jones, 6-foot-4/215 lbs from Irvine, CA, is rated by On3 as the No. 27 edge rusher in the nation and the No. 33 player in the state of California.
The talented edge rusher told On3 that visits will be big for him. Jones is planning to take some official visits next spring/summer. That's when we'll really know how big of a factor Tennessee will be in this recruiting battle.
For now, UCLA is viewed as the favorite for Jones, but that could certainly change after he takes his official visits.
Tennessee is becoming a major player for some of the top edge rushers in the nation thanks to the success of current players like James Pearce and former players like Byron Young (who is thriving in the NFL with the Los Angeles Rams).
The Vols currently have two players committed to their 2026 recruiting class.
Tennessee HC Josh Heupel had an incredible reaction to his viral celebration during NC State game
