Former Tennessee Vols defensive lineman Tyler Baron landed at the top of an impressive list after Week 2 of the 2024 college football season.

Baron, who transferred to Miami during the offseason after spending four seasons at Tennessee, was the highest graded defensive player in college football in Week 2 according to Pro Football Focus.

Baron is off to a great start for the Hurricanes. The former Vol has eight total tackles (including 5.5 tackles for loss) and four sacks in just two games so far this season.

Last week, against Florida A&M, Baron totaled three sacks and 3.5 tackles for loss in a dominant performance.

Baron was already viewed as a legitimate NFL draft prospect entering the 2024 season. If he keeps up this level of production, he could be a potential first round selection in the 2025 NFL Draft.
