The Tennessee Vols will receive a visit from one of the top 2026 recruits in the nation in October when UT hosts the Alabama Crimson Tide.
According to On3, 2026 five-star running back Savion Hiter will take a visit to Tennessee on October 19.
Hiter, 5-foot-11/182 lbs from Mineral, VA, is rated in 247Sports' composite rankings as the No. 1 running back in the nation and the No. 1 player in the state of Virginia. He's also rated as the No. 29 overall player in the 2026 recruiting class.
Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, and Tennessee are Hiter's top five schools.
The talented running back told On3 this week that his top five are all "pretty equal".
This recruitment will continue to take shape this fall and into next spring. Tennessee should be in a good spot, though, to land a commitment from Hiter. If the Vols' running backs continue to excel this season, and if Tennessee keeps winning games, then Josh Heupel and his staff will be very much in the mix to land Hiter, the best running back in the 2026 class.
