The San Francisco 49ers' Week 2 clash with the Minnesota Vikings was available on TV to a huge section of the country.

That is not the case with their Week 3 game with the Los Angeles Rams.

San Francisco visits Los Angeles for its first divisional clash of the 2024 season, one for which both teams are without star players.

Christian McCaffrey and Deebo Samuel will be absent for the 49ers, while Puka Nacua and Cooper Kupp are among those set to be missing for the Rams. With Los Angeles severely hit by injuries, the 49ers opened as heavy favorites for a game that looks set to see San Francisco fans continue their tradition of taking over SoFi Stadium.

As for those wanting to watch on TV, well you struggle if you live outside of California.

While the game will be available for the entirety of California save for a small section close to the Arizona border, the only other areas in the continental United States where it can be viewed on TV are in Iowa, unsurprisingly given the 49ers' quarterback and tight end, and a very small area of Missouri. The entirety of Hawaii will get the game.

Before the season started, this matchup between two playoff teams from last year looked like worthy of national attention. Instead, it is predominantly a local affair.
