Update: Find Thursday's injury report here

The Kansas City Chiefs have dealt with a few major injuries through the first two weeks of the 2024 NFL season.

Isiah Pacheco was officially placed on IR on Wednesday after he had successful surgery to repair his fractured fibula. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Pacheco suffered no ligament damage and his timeline remains 6-8 weeks. Andy Reid wasn't so committed to that timeline, suggesting to reporters on Wednesday that Pacheco could miss the season

The Chiefs are getting healthier compared to their Week 1 injury report, but they do have one new face on the injury report this week. It's his first time being on a regular season injury report for Kansas City.

Observations:

  • WR Xavier Worthy is on the injury report for the first time in his young career with a quad injury. He was a full participant in practice, which suggests this is a minor injury that won't keep him off the field. Players must be listed on the injury report if they receive treatment from athletic training staff for injuries. Worthy played in 68% of the Chiefs' offensive snaps in Week 2 compared to 63% in Week 1.
  • No new injuries outside of Worthy for the Chiefs.

Observations:

  • Former Chiefs CB Antonio Hamilton was ruled out in Week 1 after he was a late addition to the Falcons' injury report with a groin injury. He was also out after two limited practices in Week 2. He's listed as limited this week.
  • New injuries this week for both Allgeier and Smith-Williams. We'll monitor those as the week progresses.
