The No Fun League strikes again. New Orleans Saints quarterback Derek Carr went viral in Week 2 for his Michael Jackson dance move after a touchdown to extend the Saints' lead over the Dallas Cowboys.
Apparently, the NFL was not nearly as much of a fan of his moves as people watching the game. If you haven't seen Carr's move, check it out below.
NFL fines Saints QB Derek Carr for Michael Jackson dance
According to ProFootballTalk, Carr was fined $14,000 for his crotch grab celebration, inspired by the legendary Michael Jackson.
Carr did not receive a penalty during the game, though. The officials did not believe that he broke any sort of rule, but the NFL clearly did not agree with his impersonation of MJ's move.
Please keep in mind that the NFL once had Michael Jackson perform at a Super Bowl halftime show, too. Him performing his moves was okay. The Saints QB cannot do them, though. That's not cool.
Carr was last fined in 2020 for violating the NFL's COVID-19 protocols.
A number of Las Vegas Raiders players were fined Monday for violations of the league's COVID-19 protocols and procedures during a charity event last week in Nevada.
