Former Tennessee Vols cornerback Kamal Hadden had a great reaction this week to an incident involving former Lady Vols standout Rickea Jackson.
Earlier this week, Jackson, who was the No. 4 overall selection in the 2024 WNBA Draft by the Los Angeles Sparks, got into an altercation with Phoenix Mercury center Brittney Griner.
Both players were ejected for fighting after Griner elbowed Jackson in the face.
Hadden tweeted after the altercation that now he's not the only Vol that's had to "square up" up in a game.
Hadden's tweet is a reference to the end of Tennessee's loss to the Florida Gators in Gainesville last season. Hadden squared up when a Florida offensive lineman came charging at him.
Hadden clarified later that night that he wasn't trying to fight in that situation, instead he was just defending himself.
Sometimes things get a little heated when you're competing at a high level.
