The Houston Texans got some rough news on Thursday afternoon as tight end Brevin Jordan was revealed to have a torn ACL and will miss the rest of the 2024 season. He was entering the final year of his rookie contract and had become a solid number two tight end for the Texans.
Not only was he a capable player, but he displayed an immense amount of toughness. Jordan tweeted that he suffered the torn ACL sometime during the game but doesn't know when he suffered the injury and didn't find out until the next day.
That's a remarkable thing for Jordan to play through, especially since the ACL is a crucial ligament for an explosive player In his four seasons, Jordan caught 53 passes for 532 yards and five touchdowns.
In his place will be rookie fourth-round pick Cade Stover, who was quarterback C.J. Stroud's teammate in college at Ohio State. He caught a pivotal fourth-down catch against the Bears on Sunday night.
