Injuries continue to haunt the Minnesota Vikings heading into their week three against the Houston Texans. After not practicing the first two days leading into Sunday's game, edge rusher Dallas Turner told reporters that he won't be playing in week three.
Turner suffered his injury on the final drive against the San Francisco 49ers. The extent nor the exact injury has been revealed by the team but Turner telling reporters that he won't be playing isn't much of a surprise. He elaborated on dealing with the injury, including being honest about his feelings.
"Was just probably a little more, you know, scared and stuff like that. Just the past, you know, from high school and stuff like that, just the history of this new stuff like that. This thing wrong, just rehabbing. We got a chance to run on the field today. So, that's a good step."
With how defensive coordinator Brian Flores is calling the defense, Turner was getting significant snaps as a rookie and missing out on him will be impactful on Sunday.
