Head coach Sean McDermott confirmed on Wednesday that cornerback Taron Johnson, who is recovering from a forearm injury suffered in Week 1, along with linebacker Terrel Bernard, who has a pectoral strain suffered in Week 2, will be out this week.

Bernard is expected to miss about a month, while nothing has been reported yet on the severity or timeline to return for Johnson.

In their stead, the Bills defense, full of late round picks and undrafted free agents, have stepped up and performed incredibly well. Last week, they held the explosive Miami Dolphins offense to only 10 points, including a combined 65 receiving yards from the duo of Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle.

The depth at the edge positions looks to be on track to see a major boost in Week 3, with Casey Toohill being upgraded to a full participant, and Javon Solomon and Dawuane Smoot continuing to get limited practice reps.

Buffalo will be looking to go to 3-0 for the first time since 2020 with a win over the 0-2 Jaguars.
