Another year, another AFC East crown for the Buffalo Bills.
Buffalo proved victorious with a 35-13 victory over the Chicago Bears.
Everything didn't run as smoothly as possible, as the Bills deployed a rather head-scratching gameplan throughout the matchup.
Specifically, the Bills' inability to get the ball to their star wide receiver Stefon Diggs stood out. While the gameplan may have wanted to get Diggs the ball, the team wasn't able to execute.
The star playmaker finished the day with two catches in just two targets, the fewest of the season.
The talented receiver finished his day with two catches for 26 yards.
Turning things around
Surprisingly, one of the Bills' biggest weaknesses during the beginning of the season turned into their greatest strength in the matchup. Buffalo was able to run all over the Chicago Bears, continuing their unprecedented streak of 100+ rushing yards in every game.
Both Devin Singletary and James Cook were able to find the red zone and Josh Allen continued his dominance on the ground as well.
With the victory, Buffalo was able to secure their third consecutive AFC East crown. A far cry from the recent playoff drought Bills Mafia had endured. While there are many outside factors in the Bills' dominance, it all comes back to Josh Allen.
Since arriving in Buffalo, Josh Allen has helped take the team to the next level. Buffalo will look to continue their dominance after a sixth straight victory as the team looks ahead to Cincinnati.
Additionally, with their win and a Josh Allen touchdown, Allen was able to make history yet again.
The Bills control their own destiny and have already clinched a spot in the 2022-2023 playoffs. Now, the biggest obstacle for Buffalo will be to maintain the number one seed in the AFC.
If the playoffs have to run through Orchard Park, Bills Mafia should like their chances.
