While teams should never look ahead, the NFL has made that increasingly difficult for the Miami Dolphins.
On Monday, the NFL announced a Saturday Tripleheader for Week 15 action. That just so happens to be the week of what is likely to be the Dolphins’ most important game of the season.
On Saturday, December 17, the Dolphins are slated to travel Buffalo, squaring off with the Bills in a pivotal game that could decide the AFC East crown. The league slotted the showdown for 8:15pm ET on NFL Network, putting the Fins in the national spotlight.
The Dolphins’ loss to the San Francisco 49ers was a sobering reminder that in order to win the division the team must first take care of its own business.
Looking ahead shouldn’t be an issue for Miami this week. The Dolphins will head out to Los Angeles to do battle with the Chargers on Sunday Night Football. There is no question that the team will be focused for its first of back-to-back primetime showings.
Head coach Mike McDaniel and his team should be excited for the rematch with Buffalo under the lights on Saturday night as the Dolphins go for the season sweep.
