The Las Vegas Raiders' ship is sinking.
The offense is incredibly inconsistent, and the defense cannot get stops. Las Vegas is struggling in every facet when it means the most.
Star wide receiver Davante Adams had an awesome first half against the Jacksonville Jaguars today.
He recorded nine receptions for 146 yards and two touchdowns. Adams had just one reception in the second half.
Accordingly, the Raiders did not score in the second half against the Jaguars. Jacksonville overcame an early 17-0 deficit to defeat the Raiders.
After the game, Adams pulled no punches when asked about coaching decisions in the second half. The team is clearly frustrated.
Adams clearly did not agree with the coaching staff in the second half. Can you blame him?
The Raiders' offense was dominating through the air in the first half. The offensive line looked solid, and Derek Carr was dropping dimes.
In the second half, play-calling got more conservative.
They forced themselves to run the ball more often.
The Jaguars stepped up when the Raiders didn't. That has become a theme for Las Vegas, unfortunately.
They may have been trying to bleed the clock a bit. That isn't how you put away a game in the NFL, and Raiders' HC Josh McDaniels should know that.
The Jaguars gave them a blueprint on how to beat their defense early in the game, and the Raiders ignored that. Jacksonville played well against the run, and Las Vegas refused to make adjustments.
Now, players are frustrated, and emotions are beginning to boil over for the Raiders.
