The Chicago Bears won’t be taking home any hardware at the end of the season, but three players are pushing for important individual accolades.

The NFL won’t be playing its traditional Pro Bowl this season. Instead the league is inviting its top players at each position to attend the Pro Bowl Games to show off their talents.

Though injuries have derailed the Pro Bowl campaigns of Justin Fields and Eddie Jackson, there are Bears players still receiving recognition.

As of Wednesday, TE Cole Kmet (8th), S Jaquan Brisker (8th), and FB Khari Blasingame (10th) ranked in the top-10 at their respective positions in Pro Bowl fan voting.

Kmet appears to have taken a significant stride in his third year despite the inconsistency in the passing game. In his rookie season, Brisker is already establishing himself as one of the NFL’s rising stars at the safety position.

Blasingame has quietly contributed as a blocker in the Bears’ prolific rushing attack, apparently generating enough respect from fans to enter the Pro Bowl conversation.

It hasn’t been the season Bears fans wanted, but it is refreshing to see this trio getting some recognition. Chicago should watch the 2023 Pro Bowl Games with interest as the team will likely be using a chunk of its 2023 salary cap space on a participant or two.
