The Chicago Bears will be a team to watch with the NFL’s November 1 trade deadline just one week away.

As Chicago continues to build for the future, the team will have a few interesting decisions to make involving players that Bears fans gave grown attached to over the years. Most notably, Bears DE Robert Quinn is rumored to be a trade target for several teams around the league.

NFL Insider Jordan Schultz mentioned Quinn by name in a tweet on Tuesday afternoon.

The three-time Pro Bowler is playing in his third season with Chicago, but his 12th in the NFL. Quinn’s value is rather mysterious considering his cap hit next year.

However, he is coming off a Pro Bowl season in which he recorded 18.5 sacks, ranking second in the league.

At the least, Bears general manager Ryan Poles should be able to come away with mid-round pick if he decides to deal Quinn. Contending teams desperate for pass rushers could be looking to overpay for his short-term services.

Shultz isn’t the only one with this notion, either. Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer hinted at the Eagles, Titans, Ravens, and Rams being possible suitors in a story he released on Monday.

Quinn has just one sack and eight tackles for the Bears this season. His production has taken a dip, but there is still time to profit off of his production in 2021.

There is no sense in holding on to Quinn through the year as his contract only serves to hinder the team’s budgetary flexibility. Poles must not squander an opportunity to receive draft capital in exchange for an aging player in Quinn.
