Micah Parsons has been nothing short of sensational for the Dallas Cowboys. The former Penn State linebacker took the NFL by storm as a rookie and continues to be among the best players in the league this season.
Parsons is a true generational talent. He is doing things that very few people in the world can do. Parsons is elite at rushing the passer, despite also handling traditional linebacker duties. His athletic profile is second-to-none, as well.
Bottom line: Micah Parsons is a difference-maker and a game-changer. His play has won the Cowboys football games and why Dallas is one of the most feared defenses in football right now.
Parsons in league of his own
ESPN tends to agree. When ranking the top talent in the league under the age of 25, one name was at the top: Micah Parsons.
In fact, the Cowboys' star was the unanimous selection for the No. 1 spot in the rankings. That shows that there was hardly any kind of debate when ESPN was creating the list.
The Worldwide Leader in Sports ranks Parsons above elite talents such as Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson and Bengals pass catcher Ja'Marr Chase. Buccaneers offensive tackle Tristian Wirfs and Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert round out the top-five.
"A strong argument could be made that Parsons is the top defensive player in the game, regardless of age. Parsons is a menace off of the edge, after converting from middle linebacker to defensive end for Dallas," ESPN's Jordan Reid wrote. "His unique explosiveness, bend and ball pursuit have turned him into a franchise cornerstone for the Cowboys.
"He's only the third player since 1982 (when sacks became an official stat) to record at least 12 sacks in each of his first two seasons, joining Reggie White and Aldon Smith. And his 27.9% pass rush win rate leads all players since entering the league."
Parsons landing at the top spot, signifies just how dominant he already is. In just his second season, Micah Parsons has proven to be one of the best overall players in the entire NFL. He has proven to be able to turn a game on its head on any given play.
Micah Parsons is a game-changing talent and is a major reason why the Dallas Cowboys have the opportunity to make a championship run this season.
Don't take his talent for granted.
