The 2021 free agency period begins this week. The Dallas Cowboys have room to make some moves after inking Dak Prescott to a big contract last week. Improving the defense is a must for Dallas.

Notable Cowboys that are set to hit the open market include multiple defensive starters. Defensive backs Chidobe Awuzie, Xavier Woods, and Jourdan Lewis are all free agents. Pass rusher Aldon Smith is up for a new deal.

Cornerback C.J. Goodwin and linebacker Joe Thomas are also free to sign with any team that they choose. Goodwin is a quality special teams contributor and provides depth in the secondary. Thomas played well at times at linebacker. Defensive tackle Antwaun Woods is also on the market.

On the other side of the ball, Andy Dalton is on the market. The Cowboys reportedly have interest in bringing back the TCU product to backup Prescott. Wide receivers Cedrick Wilson and Noah Brown are free agents, leaving a hole behind the talented trio at pass catcher.
