Dallas Cowboys rookie phenom Micah Parsons has quickly emerged as a one of the NFL's biggest sensations this season. Parsons has exceeded all expectations when the Cowboys drafted him 12th overall in the 2021 NFL Draft, as he has become a force all over the field.

Parsons has been the favorite to take home NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year honors since the Cowboys selected him in April. That appears to be as done of a deal as it can get. The Penn State product does not have a clear challenger for that award.

The Dallas Cowboys rookie has his eyes on an even bigger award. Micah Parsons has surged into the Defensive Player of the Year race over the last month. He has grown into a dominant force wherever defensive coordinator Dan Quinn has lined him up.

Micah Parsons now has the third-best odds to take home honors as the league's best defensive player of the year. Only EDGE rushers Myles Garrett of the Cleveland Browns and TJ Watt of the Pittsburgh Steelers have better odds at the moment. That is pretty impressive company for the rook.

The Dallas Cowboys have lined Micah Parsons up at linebacker. They have used him at EDGE rusher. Dan Quinn has lined Parsons up all over the him, using his talents like a chess piece. It has been a recipe for success, to say the least.

Parsons has been on an absolute tear as of late. He is getting to the quarterback at will and impacting the game each and every week. It seems that Parsons has a game-changing play more often than not.

You would be hard-pressed to find a more impactful defensive player than Micah Parsons this season. Parsons is the definition of a difference maker, and he proves that every time that he steps foot on the field.

It will be difficult for voters to not award Micah Parsons Defensive Player of the Year honors if the rookie keeps this incredible pace up. The Dallas Cowboys struck gold in the first-round of the 2021 NFL Draft.
