The Cincinnati Bengals could be without a key player for a couple of weeks.
NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported on Monday morning that Bengals wide receiver Tyler Boyd could miss one or two games due to the dislocated finger he suffered in Cincinnati's win against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.
Boyd left the game in the first quarter after injuring his finger while trying to catch a pass from Joe Burrow.
Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins is also dealing with an injury. Higgins only played one snap against the Browns due to a hamstring injury. Pelissero reported on Monday that Higgins is still getting his hamstring evaluated and the hope is that the injury is "not too severe".
With Higgins and Boyd sidelined on Sunday, star wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase saw 15 targets (Chase finished with 10 receptions for 119 yards and a touchdown).
The next highest target total for a Cincy wide receiver on Sunday was Trent Taylor with four (running back Samaje Perine had five targets in the passing game).
Getting Boyd and Higgins back soon will be important, otherwise, teams will be able to pay even more attention to Chase.
