The Cincinnati Bengals got a big road win over the New England Patriots on Saturday and that was far from the most interesting part of Cincy's Christmas Eve.

According to multiple reports, after beating the Patriots, the Bengals jumped on a plane to head home from Boston.

The plane, however, experienced engine problems and had to make an emergency landing at JFK in New York.

And here's a photo of the Bengals waiting at JFK.

The Bengals finally made it back to Cincinnati around 1 AM.

What a wild way to spend Christmas Eve — a big win over the Patriots followed by a close call on an airplane that included an emergency landing. I imagine everyone on that roster went through a wide range of emotions on Saturday.

But the good news is that Cincinnati's players/coaches/support staff are home and safe. And they can go ahead and start thinking about that big Monday night matchup with the Buffalo Bills next week.
