Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase is too nice of a guy.

Because if I was Chase, I'd be throwing major shade at one of my teammates.

Chase appeared on "The Pat McAfee Show" on Thursday and he revealed that Bengals kicker Evan McPherson backed out of an LSU vs Florida bet this past week.

McPherson played at Florida while Chase played at LSU. The Tigers and the Gators played this past weekend. LSU won the game 45-35.

"I had a bet, but the dude backed out of the bet, I was going to put him in some LSU gear," said Chase.

When asked who the teammate was, Chase responded "Evan McPherson".

Instead of throwing shade, Chase took the high road and praised McPherson for his clutch kicking abilities.

"Evan's a good dude," said Chase. "I'm always chatting with him…I like Evan. He's always making kicks during practice. He's always on the money. That's why we call him Money Mac."

Maybe Chase can make a bet with offensive lineman Jonah Williams, his Bengals teammate, for the LSU/Alabama game that's coming up in a couple of weeks.

(Williams played at Alabama before being drafted by Cincinnati in 2019.)

I'm guessing Chase would honor the bet if the Tigers lost after hearing him talk about McPherson backing out of their bet.
