The Cincinnati Bengals placed a key veteran on injured reserve on Friday.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Bengals have placed right tackle La'el Collins on IR.
A report from Kelsey Conway earlier this week suggested that Collins tore his ACL.
Bengals head coach Zac Taylor hasn't confirmed that report.
Collins will at least be out through the AFC Championship game, though it certainly appears, based on Conway's report, that we won't be seeing Collins again this season.
With Collins out, the Bengals could turn to Isaiah Prince or Hakeem Adeniji at right tackle. The feeling is that Prince will ultimately be the choice, though the situation is fluid.
This is obviously a major loss for Cincinnati, but Prince started 19 games for the Bengals last season (including playoffs), so it's not like they're turning to someone without any experience (if Prince is indeed the choice).
