Tennessee Titans general manager Jon Robinson isn't going to reveal too much about his off-season plans before the start of free agency, but he tipped his hand a bit on Tuesday at the NFL Draft combine.
The biggest topic surrounding the Titans this off-season is whether or not Ryan Tannehill and Derrick Henry will return to Nashville in 2020.
Unsurprisingly, Robinson was asked about both on Tuesday and gave two different answers.
Robinson was extremely complimentary of Henry, while saying that the franchise plans on doing "everything we can to keep him around".
When it came to re-signing Tannehill, however, Robinson was completely non committal, simply saying "we'll see how it goes".
I think we can surmise that Tennessee is committed to bringing Henry back, while exploring all of their options at quarterback.
And I think that's a wise move. Henry is the only obvious answer at running back for the Titans moving forward. When it comes to quarterback, there's a healthy debate to be had about how Tennessee should proceed.
Bringing Tannehill back long-term, drafting a quarterback with Tannehill coming back short-term or bringing in a veteran to mentor a young quarterback are all options on the table for the Titans.
Robinson is always doing to do his due diligence.
Buckle up, there's nothing quite like the NFL off-season.
