The Tennessee Volunteers (23-1, 11-0) outpaced the South Carolina Gamecocks (12-12, 7-4) and beat them 85-73 in Knoxville.
Tennessee got off to a fast start, which was a welcomed sight after beginning slow in the previous couple games. Within the first three minutes of the game the Vols already had two steals and a block.
Offensively, Tennessee got hot early.
After the team was re-charged by a hard foul to Jordan Bone, the Vols started to put some distance between themselves and the Gamecocks on the scoreboard.
Tennessee led 49-36 at halftime.
In the second half, the Vols began to run away with the game.
The Volunteers offensive success came in part due to South Carolina failing to account for Admiral Schofield's range.
The Vols ended up winning by 12 and staying undefeated in the SEC heading into a tough match-up against Kentucky.
