Tennessee won a big recruiting battle over the Kentucky Wildcats over the holiday weekend. Athlete/defensive back Cristian Conyer, the No. 1 player from the state of Kentucky according to Rivals.com, committed to the Vols on July 3rd. And while it’s always nice to one-up the Cats in anything, this was particularly sweet because it got one of UK’s football coaches to tweet emotionally (and hilariously) about the situation.
Vince Marrow is Kentucky’s tight ends coach and was attending his own daughter’s wedding on the day of Conyer’s commitment. He saw Conyer choose Tennessee and apparently stopped participating in the wedding festivities and tweeted this…
Yikes.
But the fun didn’t stop there with Marrow’s sad tweeting as he fired off a few more thoughts that he probably should have just kept off the internet.
