The Buffalo Bills are set to host the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday afternoon.
On Tuesday, Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin spoke to reporters about the upcoming matchup.
Tomlin was asked about Bills edge rusher Von Miller, a new addition to the team over the offseason.
The longtime Steelers head coach couldn't help but gush over Miller, at one point calling him an alien from a different planet.
That's quite a compliment from Tomlin.
And it's not something he's just randomly throwing out there — he actually said the same thing about Miller four years ago.
"I thought he was an alien," said Tomlin in 2018 before playing Miller and the Denver Broncos. "He was a special player among a group of special players. I just relayed that to the team this morning. He went by me in the fourth quarter of that game and said, 'Coach, I got this.' I watched him take over a Pro Bowl and change the climate inside that stadium."
"Obviously, having witnessed that firsthand, man, it was something that you appreciate from a talent standpoint, and you've just got knowledge of what that guy's capable of doing," added Tomlin in 2018. "Von Miller needs no endorsement from me. He's got reels and reels of tape that bear that out."
It's pretty clear that Tomlin has a deep respect for Miller and his pass-rushing abilities.
Though I have a feeling he won't be gushing over him on Sunday if Miller is living in Pittsburgh's backfield.
And based on what we've seen so far this season from the Steelers' offensive line, I wouldn't be surprised if that's the case. It could be a long afternoon for Pittsburgh quarterback Kenny Pickett.
