Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown doesn’t need extra motivation to tear through opposing secondaries.

With that being said, Brown will be playing with an extra edge when his Eagles take on the Jacksonville Jaguars this Sunday afternoon.

Brown welcomed his second child into the world on Thursday night with the birth of his son, A.J. Brown Jr. The star receiver missed most of this week’s practices awaiting the birth of his newborn son.

Brown reappeared at Eagles practice on Friday, participating with his hospital wristband still wrapped around his right wrist.

As for his status for the game, Brown is doing everything he can to prepare himself mentally.

“The mental part of the game doesn’t change for me. I’m doing everything I can to be ready to go," said the happy father.

Brown’s motivation this week should be obvious as he now has a newborn child to dedicate his performance to.

Brown has had success when facing the Jaguars in his career. In four games against Jacksonville, Brown has 15 receptions for 289 yards (72.3 YPG), but no touchdowns.

I couldn’t think of a better time to find the endzone than just three days after welcoming a newborn son, and Brown’s namesake, into this world.
