The Buffalo Bills' week five matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers just got a lot easier.
That's because Pittsburgh put superstar edge rusher TJ Watt on IR this week, meaning he has to miss a minimum of four games. That means Watt can't return until week six at the earliest.
Watt is dealing with a torn pec muscle.
The Bills were going to be favored in this game even if Watt played — especially since the game is in Buffalo.
But the Steelers aren't a team that should be taken lightly, as they showed in week one by knocking off the defending AFC Champion Cincinnati Bengals.
Pittsburgh's stout defensive front made Joe Burrow's life a living hell for much of the afternoon. The Steelers forced Burrow to turn the ball over five times, which is uncharacteristic of the former LSU star.
Facing a Pittsburgh defensive front without Watt will be a much easier task for the Bills. This was already a game they should win, but the absence of Watt makes this a must-win game for Buffalo. They can't let that one slip away.
